Donald G. Softness is the president of SecureVue Inc., manufacturer and marketer of ultra vandal-resistant and anti-crime security products.
He is the founder and former chairman of the Softness Group, Inc., a public relations company which grew from a one-person shop to become one of the 10 largest public relations firms in the country. It represented many leading national companies, including Colgate-Palmolive and Best Foods. It also distinguished itself in corporate public relations.
Subsequently, he started and operated several successful manufacturing companies, including Sphinx Products. Inc., which marketed fashion specialty items. He also bought and subsequently sold six radio stations, including WVNJ-AM-FM, Newark/New York, and was active in the management of this $4.6 million (annual sales) broadcasting company.
Softness has an MBA in marketing from the NYU Stern Graduate School of Business Administration, and an honorary doctorate from St. John’s University. He is the author of many articles for national magazines and security trade journals, and has authored several books.
He is listed in Who’s Who in America, is a member of the New York Yacht Club, and served in wartime with the U.S. Navy. |
